OUR LOVE STORY
How we met
We first crossed paths at Wheelies during badminton drop-in sessions. We had seen each other around and were aware of each other’s presence, but we were just strangers. In April 2018, we happened to be in the same photo during the last badminton session of the season, not realizing it would become a part of our story later on. That winter, we matched on Tinder and officially started dating. Our first date was a hit—after a fun pool session, we both knew something was there. What began as a simple coincidence quickly turned into something much more meaningful.
Fast forward to
Fast forward to today, and we’ve definitely come a long way since we first met. We’re now regular badminton partners, and not just that—we also play volleyball, slo-pitch, and soccer together. On top of all that, we share a love for comics and spend plenty of time with our cat, Goose, who’s pretty much the third member of our little crew. It’s been a fun ride from being strangers to partners, filled with plenty of shared interests, laughs, and memories. We’re looking forward to what comes next and the adventures we’ll continue to have together!
The proposal
On New Year’s Eve of 2023, the family gathered for dinner, getting ready to say grace. Just as they were about to begin, Ian surprised Kim by volunteering to give a speech. Out of nowhere, he knelt down and proposed! While the family knew what was coming, she had no idea. He had even asked everyone to dress up for the occasion, making it a memorable start to the New Year and the next chapter of their lives.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?The ceremony will be held outdoors. In case of bad weather, we have a backup plan in place.

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same venue?Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Bel Acres. After the ceremony, we’ll transition into the reception for dinner, dancing, and fun.

What is the dress code?Our wedding is a semi formal event. For reference, please see the card below.

Can I take photos at the wedding?We kindly ask guests to refrain from taking photos during the ceremony to keep the moment extra special. Our dedicated photographers will be capturing every detail, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience. However, feel free to snap pictures during the reception and share them with us on social media!

Will there be a seating arrangement for the reception?Yes, there will be a seating plan for the reception. We’ve carefully considered where everyone will be seated to make sure the day runs smoothly!

Are there any activities planned before or after the wedding?Yes, there is a pre-wedding activity, but it is exclusively for our immediate family and wedding party. We look forward to celebrating with all of you at the ceremony and reception!
